First international Knowledge Exchange Conference

11-12 April 2011.

The first international Knowledge Exchange conference in the UK, organised by Fuse, was heralded as an outstanding success by participants.

Taking place between the 11-12th April 2011, 150 delegates from many parts of the world including Australia, Austria, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the USA and the UK met in Durham to discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in Knowledge Exchange in Public Health.

Delegates heard from a wide range of world-class speakers who shared their insights into knowledge exchange including Professor Alan Best.

Feedback on the conference was overwhelmingly positive with over 90% of the 44 respondents rating the conference as either very good or good and well organised. They valued opportunities to network and many made new contacts.

One delegate wrote: “I didn’t realise how much knowledge exchange work is going on across the country until I attended the conference.”
